Keep on riding - kit yourself out with key cycle parts
While you're out on your bike, you should be as self-reliant as possible. There are a few essential cycle parts riders should take with them to fix the most common complications you'll come across when out riding. These important cycle parts are not likely to set you back an arm and a leg either - if you'd like to improve/upgrade you are able to. These cycle parts are available to suit all budgets, from all three of our cycle shops plus our online shopping site. The most probable scenario you may have with your bike is a flat tyre. So firstly an excellent cycle part to carry along is a spare inner tube specific for your bike. In addition to a spare tube, you will want to carry a patch kit as well; you are also going to want to a tyre leaver -these small cycle parts slide beneath your tire and help pull it off your rim to be able to remove the tube. If you get a flat tyre, you'll need to find a method to get air back into it. This is where a good little pump comes in. Some riders would rather carry CO2 cartridges- little battery-sized cylinders that deliver a burst of pressurized gas and refill tubes in a small fraction of a second. CO2 canisters are a good cycle parts yet certainly are a little costly since they have only one use! A multi-tool is an extremely handy cycle part you will want to take with you! It is great with regard to any number of possible fixes or adjustments you might face on the road. On the multi-tool there will be some Allen wrenches, hex bolt wrenches, screw drivers, and a chain tool. It is also a good plan to have a front and rear light on your bike! Although you plan to get back by lunch, you never know what's going to happen - you should always be visible to other road users, lights are a must cycle part! Although it isn’t a cycle part, you should take some Identification & Money with you, just to be safe!
