Marin Bikes was established in 1986 in San Anselmo, California and celebrates its 23rd anniversary in 2009. The offices lie in the shadow of Mt. Tamalpais, commonly referred to as the birthplace of mountain biking and still at the heart of the sport. Since its formation, Marin has built it’s strong reputation upon a number of technological advancements including: Lightweight hard tail mountain bikes, Quad-Link Suspension, Performance orientated flat bar road bikes and city and urban bikes.
The Bolinas Ridge comes with a brand new frame design for 2010, which has been built to improve performance and looks. It has been built to suit all terrain and all weathers. The Bolinas Ridge also comes with Spinner 300 with Lock-out fork that comes with preload adjustment suitable for on and off road terrain. Fitted with Tektro Novela Mechanical Disc brakes to improve braking and safety, so you feel confident on your bike at all times.
Custom Butting
Every tube used in construction of Marin bikes begins life as a simple round tube and is transformed into a performance machine. The custom butting is a process where the plain round tube has material removed in order to make it lighter without sacrificing the strength. By customising this process for every Marin bike the ride quality for the rider is greatly increased.
Alloy HT
The alloy hardtail series offers riders serious performance at exceptional value. Custom butted 6000 series Edge 3 tubing is mated to a more comfortable Marin Sport geometry, placing riders in an upright position to enjoy both the scenery and the trails.
