Wilier Cento Uno Frameset 2010
Typical Usage: Road Race/Performance Sportive
Wilier was created in 1906 by trader Piero Dal Molin from Bassano. His range of “Steel Horses” rose as a small workshop along the banks of the river Brenta and became more and more successful by keeping up with the increasing demand on bikes. With over 100 years of bike building behind them Wilier production some of the highest quality bikes available.
The new Cento Uno is the latest evolution of Wilier Triestina's technology in research and design. Featuring highly advanced Carbon Fibre construction techniques for both light weight and handling capabilities.
Carbon Fibre
Wilier use only the highest grade of carbon fibre provided by Toray one of the world’s leading carbon fibre producers in quality and technology. The Carbon Fibre construction material provides an ultimate blend of lightness toughness and the ability to absorb vibrations from the road which could decrease speed.
Monocoque Technology
The lightness of the Monocoque comes from the absence of overlapping tubes and lugs or joints. The quality of materials used in the construction of the frame is therefore reduced considerably. The elimination of these critical points in the structure enhances the capacity to respond to rider interaction and transfers the power more uniformly throughout the frame to reduce the loss of muscular energy not on making the bikes faster but much easier to ride. The relaibaility of the Monocoque frames is exceptional due to the fact that the stresses to which the frame is subjected too is not focused at vulnerable areas, this highly increases the safety of the cyclist during high speeds.
