      All Bikes Go to Heaven

That poor lonely bike that sits in the corner of the shed has served you well. You’ve sweated it out together on the climbs, it carried you to and from work for all those years. Yep, together you’ve seen it all; Wind, rain, hail, snow, sunshine. Where would you be without ‘Ol’ Faithfull’? Unhealthier, miserable and short of a companion to listen to you mull over life’s mysteries as you cruise the sun dappled lanes of the English Countryside.

But these days the spokes break more often, the creaking won’t go away, and rust never sleeps. Whilst you used to look on the old steed proudly like a pedigree animal these days it’s more of a fond look at an old dog with a set of wheels where it’s back legs should be.

It’s time to do the decent thing and…

As of today you can trade in an old bike in store and get at least 10% (and for a limited time; a special introductory offer of 15%) off the RRP price of a current model bicycle.

      How does it Work?

So long as the bike is functioning (You can steer, sit on and pedal the bike) then you’re on to a winner, even if you’ve kept it in a pond. If you’ve looked after your bike then congratulations, you may be able to get even more discount.

The bike must be your property. And if there is doubt we may ask for proof that you are the legal owner of the bike.

Once you’ve had a look around the shop and spoken to one of our helpful sales advisors you’ll select the bike that’s just right for you. Let’s assume it’s a new Trek Madone 2.3 at £1199.99, nice model, and it’s gone into the workshop to be built and set-up by one of our Cyctech qualified Mechanics. Then the time comes to part ways with the old Claud Butler and after a cursory look under the cobwebs the sales advisor magically reduces the price of the new bike by a cool £120.

Would you have got £120 on eBay for the thing that you propped the strimmer against in the shed?

The bike has shuffled onto a better place and you’ve got a serious chunk of money off a smart new bike.

How long are we offering this service?

We think that this is such a good idea that we are running this offer for as long as we can. If you keep bringing ‘em, we’ll keep taking’em.

What bikes can I trade in against?

We are offering the trade in service against current bikes at full RRP. We can’t offer the trade in against bikes that have already been reduced in price.

Can I bring in ten bikes and then get a really nice bike completely free?

Nice try but no. We will only be able to accept one old bike for every new bike. You can bring two old bikes with you so long as you are buying two new bikes, and so on.

If I want a new road bike do I have to trade in an old road bike?

Not at all. You can bring us a hybrid for a kids bike, a mountain bike for a hybrid, a road bike for a BMX any combination you like.

No unicycles though, even if you do bring two.

I don’t actually want a new bike but I have been eyeing up a new car rack. Would it be possible to trade my old bike against that?

Sorry we can only accept bike trade in against the value of the new bike and not other items, even if they are part of the same transaction.

I’ve changed my mind, can I have my old bike back?

Unfortunately once it’s gone it’s gone but the standard return policy will still apply to the bike you’ve purchased.

I don’t really need the new bike right now. Can I just get a voucher instead?

I’m afraid that we will only be able to take a bike in exchange for discount against another bike and no other product including vouchers.

Can I use this offer in conjunction with a bike to work scheme?

Bike to work schemes already offer an excellent way to secure a large discount on a bike and we won’t be able to offer the trade in service alongside this.

I’ve given up cycling and taken up floristry. Can I bring my old bike to you?

You most certainly can but we will be unable to offer you anything for the bike other than discount from a new bike.

As an old chapter closes on your cycling life a new one begins with your new ride. You’ll remember the good times you shared with the old Claud Butler but you’ll be looking forward to new cycling horizons too. Don’t feel guilty about your new life, the old bike would have wanted you to be happy.
