Whyte E-120 XT 2010
Typical Use: Cross Country/Race/Trail/Enduro
The E-120 XT continues from its sucessful year in 2009 with improved components and utilising the Quad-Link II suspension system for all terrain control and a full Shimano XT setup for advanced performance make the XT a highly deadly machine off and on the track.
Carbon
Whyte have poured all their efforts into creating the highest quality carbon frames that have high performance and low weight. From careful selection of materials, the Perfect Monocoque Manufacturing technique and manufacture by hand by a senior composite engineer Whyte aim to deliver a leading edge performance that other competitors can’t match.
Quad-Link II
The Quad-Link II provides exceptional protection for the shock stopping mud splash backs reaching the shock as its protected from the seat post but also the swingarm which keeps the shock as clean as dry as possible this not only vastly increases the performance over long distances but also reduces the maintenance needed and possible damage to the shock. The performance of the shock goes much deeper than the simple design by teaming up with Fox, SRAM and DT Swiss Whyte can tailor the leverage ration from the spring rates of the air shocks. The Quad-Link II suspension can use a minimally damped shock to give the plushest small bump response but can then transition through the mid stroke to take care of the biggest hits without ramping up or bottoming out. The intelligent wheel path design is the main performance aspect of the Quad system that controls the amount of chain growth to ensure optimum speed over any bump.
