What makes Specialized so special?
Dedication to creating the best possible cycling equipment, combined with a history of innovation and reliability, has elevated Specialized from a 1970s California startup to one of the world's favourite cycling brands. So how did it all begin? Established in 1974 from the sale of a VW Van, Specialized starting producing their own parts in 1976 with the Specialized Touring Tyre. Then came the Allez. Over three decades later and the Allez is still available as a cutting-edge, award-winning entry-level road bike.
Specialized then made history, creating the world's first production mountain bike, the Stumpjumper. Like the Allez, the Stumpjumper is still available in full suspension and hardtail models. Specialized have now grown to be one of the world's most recognisable cycling brands, ridden by world champions including Mark Cavendish, Peter Sagan and Jaro Kulhavy and loved by pros, celebrities and enthusiasts alike.
Specialized now offer everything you'd expect from a leading bike brand, from bikes and accessories to the latest cycling clothing, as well as a Specialized women-specific range of bikes and clothing. All developed with dedication to performance and innovation.
