The best thing about quality base layers is that they work hard whether you’re hot or cold. In summer, absorbent materials use capillary attraction to wick sweat away from your body as fast as you can make it, helping your skin to breathe so you can feel more comfortable. In the winter they’re your first layer of protection against the chill – you should aim to build up several layers of clothing to add extra insulation when the weather turns really nasty.
Better for longer
If you’re competing, the right base layers will help you perform better, and keep going for longer. And if you’re just getting across town, you’ll want to be just as comfortable when you arrive as you were when you left.
His and hers
Our base layers come in long or short-sleeved versions for both him and her, including thermal base layers, and we’ve even got dedicated warmers for arms and legs, some with dynamic gradient compression to help more oxygen get to your muscles in the places where you need it most.
