Kona Bikes Enterprise was created by mountain bike fans Dan Gerhard and Jacob Heilbron way back in 1988. The very initial Kona bikes that hit the marketplace were custom cross-country mountain bikes designed to fit their sort of riding: fast, hard and far. Twenty or so much more years later and Kona are still doing it exactly the same way, generating incredibly tough, thoughtful, dependable and well balanced bikes.
The quality and reputation of Kona Bikes make them a great balance between price and performance, design and functionality. A manufactuer with "Cool" written all over it you'll be hard pressed to find better entry and mid level bikes.
