The Specialized Chisel 2022 Frameset is a purpose-built, budget-friendly cross country MTB frame that is well suited to both trail cruising and racing. The Chisel shares many of the same modern features as the Epic Hardtail, but in a more cost-effective package. This makes the Chisel an incredibly efficient and capable alloy hardtail. The Chisel's frame utilizes D'Aluisio Smartweld technology that moves the hydroformed tube joints away from the areas of the highest stress, making the finished frame's balance of strength, rigidity, and weight more pronounced than any alloy frame in history. This not only makes the Chisel one of the lightest alloy hardtail frames coming in as light as 1,350g, but it also allows for tuned frame stiffness across all sizes. As this is a frameset, you are free to add your favourite components to the capable Chisel frame to make it ride exactly how you like. Pair with a top-end finishing kit for a durable XC shredder or go for bang for your buck and use budget-friendly components, allowing you to upgrade at a later date. Either way, the Chisel has you covered and is the perfect base to build your ideal XC bike. As you would expect from a modern cross country bike, the Chisel has progressive XC geometry with a 68-degree headtube angle as well as long reach, internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, boost spacing and 30.9mm dropper post compatibility.
