Santa Cruz Stigmata CC GRX 2022 Carbon Gravel Bike Lavender

3.8 out of 5 Customer Rating

The Details

The Santa Cruz Stigmata fuses together a variety of MTB standards and design features to create a unique, modern gravel/cyclocross bike. The Stigmata was one of the first in its class to offer internally routed disc brakes, generous tire clearance and thru-axles that have now become the norm. The 2022 model continues the traditions of redefining the expectations of Gravel bikes for the next generation.

Threaded bottom brackets feature consistently throughout the entire Santa Cruz range thanks to their proven robust, cost-effective and compatible design. The frame now clears up to a 45mm 700c or a 2.1” 650b tire and boasts three bottle cage mounts so that it can still hold at least one normal bottle even when running a front triangle bag. Furthermore, the addition of Fender mounts highlights the Stigmata’s ever-widening scope of purpose. The Stigmata's design has taken design elements inspired by the stiffness, handling, and offroad feel of the Santa Cruz Highball and the carbon layup of both the Highball and Danny MacAskill’s trials bike.

Geometry has been refined to improve handling for smaller riders and reduce toe overlap. The reworking of the 52/54cm frames means the Stigmata now comfortably suits riders from 5’3” and up. Meanwhile different fork offsets (50mm for the 52-54cm sizes, and 45mm for the 56-61cm sizes) maintain clearance between the front wheel and your toes. Finished with a 12mm front axle, flat mount brakes and build-specific Reserve wheel packages, the Stigmata is a high-performance gravel machine that gives you do freedom to break new boundaries and adventure further than ever before.

  • Carbon frame with tuned CX/Gravel geometry
  • Internally routed disc brakes, generous tire clearance, thru-axles and 3x bottle cage mounts
  • Shimano GRX 11 speed groupset

Our Verdict

Fusing MTB design features with an own brand spin on the modern gravel bike, Santa Cruz have clearly created something special as within months of launch it raced to victory at the legendary Three Peaks cyclocross race.

How do I measure my inside leg length?
