Powered by the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, the Cube Town Hybrid 500 provides 250W of pedal-assisted power with a smooth 50Nm of torque, to give you a comfortable ride around town and assist you up steep inclines with minimal effort. The 500Wh battery is currently the largest produced by Bosch, located to the rear of the seat-tube for optimum weight distribution and has enough capacity to give you a full day's worth of riding. The Bosch system is all controlled from the large Intuvia display, conveniently located at the center of your handlebars to give you all the essential information, from your speed to remaining battery levels. Also included is a handlebar remote which gives you easy thumb-control over the different assistance levels of the motor, which provide a gentle 40% assistance in Eco mode, to a more modest 250% assistance in Turbo mode, giving you all the boost you need to get you up the steepest of hills.
Comfort is a strong theme throughout the Town Hybrid, with a lightweight step-thru frame design that makes getting on and off the bike extremely easy, adjustable stem and a 50mm travel front suspension fork and a suspension seatpost which help to smooth out all of the bumps in the road. The suspension set-up also makes this bike ideal for a weekend ride down a canal path!
Shimano's Nexus 8-Speed hub gear has a wide range of gears to allow you to reach speed smooth and comfortably, working in perfect harmony with the electric assistance of the Bosch motor. The Nexus hub-gear is virtually maintenance free, so you can rely on the Town Hybrid for your daily commute, and with an included chainguard, your work clothes will remain oil-free, and more importantly, your chain will stay clear of dirt, adding to the low-maintenance of this bike.
Magura Caliper brakes provide a smooth and controlled stop to the bike, giving additional power over a traditional cable brake to cope with the extra weight of the bike from the battery and motor. 700c wheels fitted with Schwalbe Marathon GT Performance tyres give exceptional control and give this bike the ability to travel on roads, as well as canal paths and country lanes, with added puncture protection from the DualGuard technology.
The bike comes fully-equipped with front and rear lights, that are powered from the Bosch Battery and fully controllable from the Intuvia display, giving you added visibility in daylight, as well as lighting your way at night. A rear-carry rack is provided for all your essentials, whether it's your work equipment in the week, or a picnic on the weekend, the Cube Town Hybrid has been designed for all occasions.
