Quite simply put, Diverge is super fast. Yet Diverge can also deliver a ride that is stable and confidence-inspiring when the terrain gets rough.
This bike is built from Specialized's FACT 8r carbon, providing a light yet capable frame that is well suited to nicking a local gravel climb KOM and then carving your way back down the descent as well. The FACT carbon fork is great for providing nimble and lively handling, and it's also paired with Specialized Future Shock 1.5, the perfect technology for gravel riding. With 20mm of progressively tuned compliance just where you need it, with a hydraulic damper you'll always be comfortable and firmly in control letting you keep the power down and keep your upper body fresh. Future Shock allows you to take on the rough stuff whilst remaining as efficient as possible on smoother terrain.
The Diverge Sport Carbon has been built up with components that are well-suited to gravel riding. This starts with the SRAM Apex 1x11-speed drivetrain and continues through to the DT Swiss G540 wheelset. This is backed up by the reliable stopping power of the Sram Apex hydraulic brakes.
Diverge also has specifically designed gravel geometry, providing a ride that is stable on dirt but nimble and responsive on the road. The reach is longer, there is a slackened head tube angle and the fork has a longer offset. Meanwhile, the BB has been kept low to increase stability, but will still allow you to use 650B wheels if desired.
Diverge also has a massive 47mm of tire clearance (on a 700c wheel) and features an array of rack mounts including fork and top tube mounts.
