The Details
The Specialized Diverge has been reimagined in this latest STR version of the classic gravel bike. This latest version includes Futureshock suspension at both the front and the rear of the bike, with the latter being the key technological advancement. The rear Futureshock setup allows for 30mm of travel at the rear of the bike, with hydraulic dampening controls in place to eliminate 'pedal-bob' meaning that the Diverge STR still maintains pedalling efficiency. The shock technology has been designed under the principle that 'smoother is faster', and by keeping the rear wheel firmly planted on the track, the rider retains more control over the bike, more traction and better acceleration.
The Diverge STR gravel bike has also been designed to be highly versatile, and can accomodate up to 47mm tyres on a 700c wheel and 2.1” tyres on 650B, meaning you can get plenty of rubber on the bike to help tackle more challenging terrain. The Diverge STR Pro features the same 11r carbon fibre frame as the S-Works model, so it is impressively light, especially when fitted with the carbon fibre Roval Terra CL wheelset.
The Diverge STR Pro is fitted with SRAM X01 1x12 gearing and SRAM Force hydraulic disc brakes. This specification gives the rider smooth, reliable gear changes and confidence-inspiring braking so you can ride faster and further in the knowledge that the bike will get you there.
