If enjoyment and ease of use is top of the list for parents looking for a bike for their child, then the Frog 55 ticks all the boxes. All-aluminium construction, 7-speed easy-twist Shimano Revoshift gears, lightweight alloy wheels and fully-adjustable Tektro brakes make the Frog 55 a top choice for an active child who wants to get the most out of time spent on the bike.

The sub 20 pound (8.8kg) weight is what makes this bike stand head and shoulders above its competition. When you consider the weight of its typical end user, it makes sense to keep the weight as low as possible. The sometimes tough job of riding a bike is made considerably easier when not hampered by unnecessary added weight.

The Frog 55 is suitable for children aged 6 and upwards with an inside leg measurement of at least 55cm.

Free 5 year warranty is available on the frame and forks, 2 years on all other parts.

Sizing Information

Frog bikes are measured using the child's inside leg rather than the traditional age ranges to ensure the most reliable way of getting the right bike for every child.

Please take the time to measure the rider's inside leg. It's easy to measure:

Stand the child in socks against a wall
Place a small book between their legs, as high as is comfortable
Ask the child th move away and measure from the tp of the book to the floor, in cm.

Once you have your measurement, use the table below to find the right bike for your child. We give the MINIMUM inside leg length for each bike, with the saddle at its lowest setting. At this height the child will sit safely and comfortably with their feet on the ground. Don't worry - Frog Bikes have long seatposts, so the saddle can be raised a long way as your child grows.

Of coure all children have different length arms and torsos, to ensure a comfortable riding position the handlebar's height can be tailored and the saddles can be slid backwards and forwards. These adjustments are easy to do and require an alen key.
