The Orange Alpine 6 has been given a refresh for 2020, with a metric shock to future proof the bike, as well as some improvements in the cosmetic department, this bike is ready to shred any trail!
Orange's Alpine 6 has been a firm favourite for Enduro riders since its release. A number of changes have brought the bike bang up-to-date, from the metric shock, to the neater cable routing. A few big changes to the geometry include a lower bottom bracket, increased reach and an increased length in the chainstay. As well as these changes, the bike still has good anti-squat numbers, helping deliver that playful punch riders have grown to love, a more progressive leverage curve helping you handle the big hits and a reduction in kickback. The bearing housing has been rotated forward, which not only gives the bike a more dynamic look, but has also improved the torsional strength of the back-end. The space between the two bearing housings now has a much larger piece of aluminium in it, which has helped to make the back end much more solid.
The spec you get on the Pro build is perfect bang for your buck, featuring a Fox Performance 36 Float fork with 170mm of travel and a metric DPX2 Performance shock at the back, you are guaranteed to get your suspension settings dialled. Shifting comes courtesy of a SRAM Eagle drivetrain with a mixture of NX and GX components to get the maximum value for money, the massive 11-50t gear range is enough to get you up the steepest of terrain on a 1x drivetrain.
Maxxis rubber is a popular choice and proves itself on the rowdiest of terrain, perfect for all-year-round riding.
The Alpine has been finished perfectly with brand new decals for 2020 that are now situated underneath the lacquer of the bike, giving a more refined look to the bike.
