With Epic Pro, you benefit from technology developed on S-Works Epic such as a highly efficient suspension system with BRAIN and a frame that's as light as the previous generation S-Works.
The Specialized BRAIN suspension system has been re-engineered for the new Epic and ensure that riding Epic is always fast and fun. The BRAIN system has 100mm of smooth travel front and rear letting the Epic live up to the standard that it was born for, to slash your fastest trail times and raise you up the race rankings. The latest system ensures every watt is converted into forward motion and not wasted on pointless suspension travel whilst still soaking up the impact from bumps and hits as you would expect.
The FACT 11M full carbon frame has been redesigned with a 15% stiffer rear triangle to make full use of BRAIN's tuned pedalling platform. Specialized has also overhauled the carbon layup of the front triangle to shed weight, sending the already sky-high stiffness to weight ratio even further into the clouds.
The RockShox SID SL BRAIN fork feature on the Epic Pro with 100mm of BRAIN controlled travel. The SID SL also has the ability to make damper adjustments on the fly too.
SRAM X01 Eagle AXS provides the crispest shifting possible and has a wide gearing range to ensure that jumps between cogs are as small as possible. Whilst strong, hassle-free braking performance is provided by the SRAM Level TLM hydraulic disc brakes. The Level TLM brakes have a one-piece monoblock design which aids in their stopping power but mainly keeps their weight super low. This means Epic Pro is lightweight on the scale yet heavy on value for money.
Specialized have topped off the Epic Pro with hand-built Roval Control Carbon wheels with a 29mm internal rim width that is also hookless. These carbon wheels are strong and durable whilst providing excellent ride quality and keeping weight to a minimum.
The Epic mountain bike will take you back to your first taste of real speed. The kind of feeling that has you grinning from ear to ear as you shred the trail and for a good while afterwards, impatient to get back to the top and go again.
