The Stumpjumper Alloy brings all of the highlights and features of the regular Stumpjumper such as progressive geometry and a durable responsive chassis to an aluminium package. The redesign of the Stumpjumper was a big project for Specialized. They wanted to ensure that the Stumpjumper was at home on any trail and was suitable for any rider as well. For the latest Stumpjumper, there has been an emphasis on weight reduction. However, this does not mean that durability or stiffness has been sacrificed. The Stumpjumper is a responsive chassis, with progressive geometry and excellent suspension kinematics. With new kinematics at the front of the list for the Stumpjumper redesign, the Alloy benefitted from the 1,000 plus hours of field and suspension lab development. Specialized have improved the pedalling performance, without losing the lightness of weight and tough durable credentials expected. Conclusion - the Stumpjumper descends with complete control and yet climbs with ease. Specialized has managed to extract everything possible from a 130mm travel package. Stumpjumper has an S-sizing geometry, meaning it is long, low and slack with a short offset fork and a steeper seat tube angle. This geometry makes the ride stable and makes climbing that bit more comfortable (but no easier unfortunately!). FlipChip adjustability allows you to dial the fit, enabling you to adjust the headtube angle and bottom bracket height, meaning you can fine-tune the handling characteristics so it's just right for your preferred riding style. All finished with a no-fuss SRAM SX 12-speed groupset for the perfect ride.
