A true racing pedigree, Bianchi’s aerodynamic XR4 is a superbike amongst racers.
The Oltre XR4 features a lightweight, extremely aerodynamic frame. The frame was designed with advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics and Flow visualisation, tech lifted from F1 car and aerospace design. The result, as alleged by Bianchi, is a saving of 20 watts when travelling at 50kmph. With an aggressive race geometry, featuring a lower-than-most headtube, the rider is as aerodynamic as possible. But that doesn’t mean the bike is an uncomfortable ride…
As with all of Bianchi’s premium models, the XR4 features Bianchi’s Countervail technology-allegedly cancelling out 80% of vibrations. Bianchi allege that 80% of wind resistance comes from the riding position of the rider themselves, so by cancelling out vibrations you can remain in an aerodynamic position comfortably for longer.
Countervail tech also increases control and handling when travelling over bumpy surfaces, as well as increasing rigidity of the frame. This means every ounce of energy you put into the bike you will get back out of it, just with forward momentum instead.
The Campagnolo Super Record is Campy’s flagship groupset, so its no surprise it oozes Italian style. The 12x2 groupset features Campagnolo’s 3D Embrace technology that ensures the highest level of traction between sprocket and chain, meaning none of your energy is wasted. Campagnolo’s signature Ergopower controls also feature, with specially shaped levers making them the most comfortable yet. Accurate, smooth and stylish shifting.
Put yourself ahead of the peloton!
