The Aethos is Specialized's attempt at redesigning the traditional road bike. The Aethos delivers in three main areas - being exceptionally lightweight, having great ride characteristics and being incredibly stylish.
Specialized has reinvented the classic road bike shape and the Aethos delivers massive gains in stiffness and balance as a result. Specialized has done this by utilizing larger, longer and more continuous tubes that ensure the frame is exceptionally strong and durable even as one of the lightest frames out there. The Aethos frame has been designed to be super flexible with the ability to accelerate up steep hills, tackle technical descents and handle all-day rides too. The entirely new layup process also help Aethos to be one of the lightest frames out there at just 585g for an S-Works 56cm.
Specialized's S-Works Aethos Sram Red eTAP AXS is the halo bike in the new Aethos stable. The Sram Red eTAP AXS 12-speed groupset provides clean and crisp shifts and matches the performance that the Aethos frame provides.
Every detail, from the derailleur hangers to the fork expander plug have been designed for the pursuit of the perfect ride.
Lastly, comfort is not forgotten with a high-quality Roval Alpinist carbon seatpost and Roval Alpinist wheels - helping to keep weight down and improve ride characteristics.
