The Allez disc has a premium double butted E5 alloy frameset which comes in lightest in its class weighing in at 1375 grams. This coupled with the carbon fork means this frameset rides incredibly and reduces road buzz.The stiffness to weight ratio of this bike nothing short of class leading! This enjoyable riding experience and frame geometry will inspire longer and bigger adventures than ever before. This is helped by the frame being able to fit up to 35cc tyres without mudguards and 32cc tyres with mudguards.

The new Specialized Allez, launched today, has switched from rim brakes to disc brakes, with thru-axles replacing quick releases. Frame clearance is also up from the previous bike’s 28mm to provide room for 35mm tyres with 4mm clearance..
In that time, there have been a few changes, but with the latest model, there is a very big one – the 2023 Specialized Allez is now only available with disc brakes..
For 2023, Specialized has slimmed down the Allez line to just two two models. The base model, which is the one I had on test, and the Allez Sport which features a 10 speed Shimano Tiagra groupset, as well as hydraulic disc brakes. .
