The latest Roubaix also features a new Pavé seatpost that creates the most balanced Roubaix to date. Aerodynamics have also been significantly improved for this latest generation, in fact, the Roubaix is now able to equal the Tarmac in terms of aero. Specialized Rider-First Engineering has also been applied to the Roubaix to create a frame that is perfectly balanced in stiffness and weight across all sizes, ensuring all riders receive the same ride quality.
Whilst the Roubaix may be extremely comfortable, don't be fooled into thinking it's a 'just' comfort bike. Roubaix has been designed with performance in mind to create a super fast and super comfortable bike that's suited to all kinds of road riding.
The 2022 Roubaix Comp provides tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn’t come with any compromises. Specialized spec'd SRAM's wireless Rival eTap AXS 12-speed groupset for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as smooth and sturdy DT R470 disc wheels, 30mm Turbo Pro tyres, and their fan-favourite - Power Comp saddle.
The ideal blend of aerodynamics, compliance and lightweight is provided by the FACT 10r carbon fibre and unique tube shapes developed through Specialized's FreeFoil Shape Library. These tube designs have been validated in the Win Tunnel showing that the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6.
