Aero, stiff and light. When it comes to choosing a road bike, you've always had to compromise - until now. The Tarmac SL7 is truly the one bike to rule them all. With the SL7, Specialized aimed to create the fastest lightweight race bike available, and they have delivered. Using their FreeFoil shape library Specialized has built a frameset that perfectly blends aerodynamic tube shapes with the staple race bike features of low weight and sharp handling.

The result, a lightweight race bike that is a whole 45 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6 (with Aerofly II bars).The goal was to merge the best traits of their flagship Tarmac race bike with the aero prowess of the Venge. Two of the best bikes available combined into one, ensuring Specialized athletes no longer needed to compromise on race day. This S-Works SL7 model uses Specialized's top tier FACT 12r carbon, bringing with it a frame weight of just 800g.

Using a Rider-First Engineered frameset allows the SL7 to be perfectly balanced in stiffness and weight across all sizes, ensuring all riders receive the same ride quality. Specialized has built on all they learned from the Tarmac and Venge models, as well as input from some of the world's greatest riders on the Specialized sponsored World Tour teams. This race bike is equipped with only the best components including the new Shimano Dura-Ace DI2 12-speed groupset with hydraulic disc brakes and built-in crankset power meter, plus Roval Rapide CLX wheels. This is race-ready straight out of the box.

As a technical exercise this is one hell of a bike. It really does deliver the whole package. It's great to ride, super-fast with sweet handling, and thanks to that low weight and the excellent wheels all it makes you want to do is smash it everywhere.
