With the SL7, Specialized aimed to create the fastest lightweight race bike available, and they have delivered. Using their FreeFoil shape library Specialized has built a frameset that perfectly blends aerodynamic tube shapes with the staple race bike features of low weight and sharp handling.
The goal was to merge the best traits of their flagship Tarmac race bike with the aero prowess of the Venge. Two of the best bikes available combined into one, ensuring Specialized athletes no longer needed to compromise on race day.
This SL7 Comp uses Specialized’s FACT 10r carbon, meaning the frame weighs a mere 920g, despite being incredibly aero and stiff as well.
Using a Rider-First Engineered™ frameset allows the SL7 to be perfectly balanced in stiffness and weight across all sizes, ensuring all riders receive the same ride quality.
This race bike is equipped with SRAM Rival eTap AXS wireless 12-speed groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, plus DT Swiss R470 rims. This is race-ready straight out of the box.
