With the SL7, Specialized aimed to create the fastest lightweight race bike available, and they have delivered. Using their FreeFoil shape library Specialized has built a frameset that perfectly blends aerodynamic tube shapes with the staple race bike features of low weight and sharp handling. The result, a lightweight race bike that is a whole 33 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6.
The goal was to merge the best traits of their flagship Tarmac race bike with the aero prowess of the Venge. Two of the best bikes available combined into one, ensuring Specialized athletes no longer needed to compromise on race day. This SL7 Expert model uses Specialized’s FACT 10r carbon, bringing with it a frame weight of just 920g. Using a Rider-First Engineered™ frameset allows the SL7 to be perfectly balanced in stiffness and weight across all sizes, ensuring all riders receive the same ride quality. Specialized has built on all they learned from the Tarmac and Venge models, as well as input from some of the world’s greatest riders on the Specialized sponsored World Tour teams.
This race bike is equipped with only the best components including Shimano Ultegra DI2 12-speed groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, S-Works Turbo 26mm tires plus Roval C38 carbon wheels. This is race-ready straight out of the box.
