The Details

The Specialized 2FO ClipLite mountain bike shoes are an incredibly comfortable and high performance-orientated mountain bike shoe. The shoes feature two BOA Li2 dials, which give even grip and support for your foot. Combined with the Body Geometry soles, the 2FO shoes are designed first and foremost to offer excellent comfort, which is exactly what you need for long days out on the trail. The list of features doesn't end there, though. Undeneath, these shoes features Specialized's "SlipNot" rubber sole which is fantastically grippy, and has compatibility for a 2 bolt cleat system too, so however you plan on riding trails, the Specialized 2FO ClipLite mountain bike shoes will give you grip and comfort.

Specialized has done a great job with the 2FO ClipLite. There is a lot to like with all the features needed for an enduro/trail clipless shoe. It's comfortable, lightweight, grippy and easy to adjust; with the added benefit of quick-drying, it's a strong performer..

One of the cool things about the shoe is how it balances this mid-shoe stiffness, with flex in the heel and the toe. Rather than altering your foot’s movement during a hiking section, the 2FO lets you bend your toes naturally to claw up a steep trail and the SlipNot pattern finds grip in loose and dusty dirt. The flex alone in the toe helps mitigate aches and hot spots that can occur while hauling your bike uphill on foot..

Footwear Size Guide

Purchasing a pair of cycling shoes for the first time can lead to a lot of questions. We at Rutland Cycling have over 30 years of shoe fitting experience, so here are some key pointers to look out for when buying a new pair:

1. When deciding what size cycling shoes to get, go with your normal shoe size, as cycling shoes typically run true to size. However, if you’re normally between sizes, for example sometimes you go with a 9 and sometimes a 9.5, it’s recommended that you size up.

2. The best time to measure your feet, or to try shoes on is in the afternoon, as this is when they will be at their largest due to your feet naturally tending to swell throughout the day.

3. Cycling shoes are intended to wrap snuggly around the foot as they have been designed with a specific purpose in mind—pedaling. The goal is to try and provide as much lower leg and arch stability as possible and provide you with a stable pedaling platform.

4. With the cycling industry largely originating in Europe, European sizing is the typical standard. The best way to figure out a specific brand size is use a that brand’s conversion chart. However, below is general sizing conversion chart based off conventional UK shoe sizing.
