The Details
The Specialized 2FO ClipLite Mountain Bike shoes are designed so you can push the limits of mountain biking. It delivers a great pedal connection, comfort and protection as you race down the trail. It is an ultra-light version of the popular 2FO Clip that is designed to ensure a smooth pedal entry and exit with the Landing Strip cleat pocket. This means you can focus on going hard and fast down the descent without the penalty for your climb back to the top.
The shoe has a Body Geometry sole construction and the footbeds are ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to boost power, increase efficiency and reduce the chance of injury by optimising hip, knee and foot alignment. There is a Stiff Lollipop™ nylon composite plate for high performance pedalling and off-the-bike comfort. Whilst the sole is made from SlipNot™ rubber to give you confident traction.
Two independent Boa S2-Snap dials offer easy adjustment to tighten and loosen the shoe. Whilst, clipping in is optimised for effortless foot-out riding style with platform clip pedals with the Landing Strip cleat pocket. The cleat slot has an extended length so you have the option of a rearward cleat set-up. This is a two-bolt cleat pattern which fits all major mountain bike pedals.

Purchasing a pair of cycling shoes for the first time can lead to a lot of questions. We at Rutland Cycling have over 30 years of shoe fitting experience, so here are some key pointers to look out for when buying a new pair:
1. When deciding what size cycling shoes to get, go with your normal shoe size, as cycling shoes typically run true to size. However, if you’re normally between sizes, for example sometimes you go with a 9 and sometimes a 9.5, it’s recommended that you size up.
2. The best time to measure your feet, or to try shoes on is in the afternoon, as this is when they will be at their largest due to your feet naturally tending to swell throughout the day.
3. Cycling shoes are intended to wrap snuggly around the foot as they have been designed with a specific purpose in mind—pedaling. The goal is to try and provide as much lower leg and arch stability as possible and provide you with a stable pedaling platform.
4. With the cycling industry largely originating in Europe, European sizing is the typical standard. The best way to figure out a specific brand size is use a that brand’s conversion chart. However, below is general sizing conversion chart based off conventional UK shoe sizing.
