The Details
Designed to get you to the end of the run as efficiently and as comfortably as possible, The 2FO Flat 2.0 MTB Shoe was designed to make the best pedal connection possible.
Utilising Specialized's own SlipNot 2.0 rubber compound, the 2FO Flat 2.0 were designed to make the best connection with the pedals. The construction of the sole was informed by a pressure mapping study which led to softer foam in the forefoot and harder foam in the rear so as to reduce foot cramps when tackling long downhills. A toe bumper and captured foam layer keep your feet protected from the treacherous terrain.
Ergonomic Body Geometry sole construction and footbeds ensures a comfortable fit all day, increases efficiency of energy transfer and reduces chance of injury. The air mesh on the tongue and uppers allow for breathability whilst also facilitating the shedding of water weight on those wetter trails. The Lacelock elastic is a great addition for a trail shoe: wiithout the need for laces, there is no chance of them getting stuck in the chainrings.
Great shoes on and off the saddle.

Footwear Size Guide
Purchasing a pair of cycling shoes for the first time can lead to a lot of questions. We at Rutland Cycling have over 30 years of shoe fitting experience, so here are some key pointers to look out for when buying a new pair:
1. When deciding what size cycling shoes to get, go with your normal shoe size, as cycling shoes typically run true to size. However, if you’re normally between sizes, for example sometimes you go with a 9 and sometimes a 9.5, it’s recommended that you size up.
2. The best time to measure your feet, or to try shoes on is in the afternoon, as this is when they will be at their largest due to your feet naturally tending to swell throughout the day.
3. Cycling shoes are intended to wrap snuggly around the foot as they have been designed with a specific purpose in mind—pedaling. The goal is to try and provide as much lower leg and arch stability as possible and provide you with a stable pedaling platform.
4. With the cycling industry largely originating in Europe, European sizing is the typical standard. The best way to figure out a specific brand size is use a that brand’s conversion chart. However, below is general sizing conversion chart based off conventional UK shoe sizing.
