This weekend saw Rutland Cycling play host to a launch of 2013 bikes at the Whitwell store and with over 70 bikes turning up from the likes of Trek, Orange and Pivot it was set to be a great day.
A crisp summer like morning was a welcome surprise and provided some lovely riding conditions for those who had turned up first thing to beat the weekend crowds.
With seven different variants of Orange Five available to demo, Andy from Orange was in demand right from the start. One of the most popular trail bikes and having recently being brought bang up to date with the addition of dropper post guides and maxle back end, the Five is a sure fire hit for any rider looking for that simple but effective UK trail bike.
Ian from Pivot was full of praise for the day and said "Pivot had an awesome reception at the Rutland Cycling demo day and at least 80% of the bikes were out all day with many repeat and back-to-back rides" one customer came back full of praise for the new M4X saying it was "the best bike he'd ridden, bar none".
The advantages of being able to try many top flight bikes back to back is one of the reasons why Rutland Cycling are behind the demo experience. Event coordinator Alex Woollen had this to say, "Our demo experience is one way in which we are keen to develop our offering to the customer, through our extensive demo fleet we are in the position to offer the Demo Day experience 364 days a year".
Bikes from the likes of Orange, Yeti and Ibis are available to demo all year round.
