One of the most prestigious British brands has unveiled its 2014 race team in France last week. The ten strong Raleigh team, which includes Frenchman Alexandre Blain who took victory in the Rutland-Melton Classic in 2012, signals a strong intent by Raleigh to re-instate themselves as a force to be reckoned with on domestic and international events. The red and yellow kit harkens back to the design used for the TI-Raleigh team of the 70's and 80' who won the Tour de France with Joop Zoetemelk. Zoetemelk himself was present along with Stephen Roche and Team Raleigh Patron Bernard Hinault.
Raleigh has seen a considerable sharpening of its cutting edge over recent years. The Militis performance bikes have seen Raleigh back on the map with Toray T800 carbon and high specified components. Raleigh will be making their latest candy available for you to try at the Rutland Cycling Road Demo weekend on the 12th and 13th of April at our Grafham and Whitwell shops.
