Rutland Cycling is one of the UK's leading independent cycle retailers. We're much more than your average bike shop, and our people play a key role in making our company stand out from the crowd. We currently operate a number of stores in the heart of England: two at Rutland Water (Whitwell and Giant Rutland at Normanton), one at Grafham Water, one at Peterborough, five stores in Cambridge, one at Pitsford Water in Northamptonshire, our Specialized Concept Store in Nottingham, a Giant brand store in Newport Pagnell, and two flagship, industry-leading stores in Leicester and Milton Keynes - the largest bike shop in the UK. We also operate a thriving e-commerce business. Our head office is based in Leicestershire, and our warehouse and distribution centre is based in Manton, Rutland.

Team Leader Digital Sales, Burrough Court

We are currently on the lookout for a Digital Sales Team Leader to lead our sales team to deliver on their KPI’s from the ground up, as well as working to key individual sales targets.

Our digital sales function is expanding and reflects the growing demand for the full range of our cycling related products both online and in-store, as we continue our growth. To fulfil this challenging role, we are looking for an efficient, organised and target driven person who is highly self-motivated, and able to coach, develop and lead a team to deliver on their KPI’s.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver on individual sales targets through inbound & outbound calls and our live chat function.
  • Coach and develop the sales team to deliver on their collective targets.
  • Proactive management of current leads, creation of new leads and conversion.
  • Generate sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
  • Deliver on both individual and team KPI’s and report to the DSM on performance.

Who we are looking for:

  • A proven track record in sales.
  • A good motivator with experience in coaching and leading a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to deal with a range of potential customers and colleagues across the business.
  • Have experience of a target driven environment.
  • Deliver fantastic customer service.
  • A team player with plenty of drive and energy to help us to continue to grow our business.

More about this job:

  • Reporting to: Digital Sales Manager. The role will work to SMART targets and key performance indicators and will receive regular feedback and appraisals.
  • Responsible for: Day to day oversight of the Digital Sales team.
  • Hours: Standard working hours are 5x days per week on a shift basis covering 8.30 am to 19:00 (weekend working is a part of this role)
