Rutland Cycling has been voted into BikeBiz's top 20 bike shops in the UK for 2013!
BikeBiz, the UK's leading bicycle trade magazine, recently announced that they were teaming with Cyclescheme, the best-known cycle to work provider, in search for the country's best IBDs. A list of 20 independent bike shops was compiled, based on feedback from distributors, brands and cycle journalists on which IBDs have exhibited high levels of customer service, embraced their communities and provided an all-round top-drawer shopping experience.
The write-up, which can be found in the April 2013 edition of BikeBiz, reads:
"Despite being among the better-known bike shops in the country, Rutland Cycling hasn't been a slouch, keenly seeking opportunities to grow the store through local rides and the like. In March this year it hosted one of the regional women-only Breeze rides, as well as running free weekly night rides. Rutland Cycling was also a key participant in the Stamford Cycling Festival, from helping set the free event up with local and national organisations to helping run it too. Then the shop also works with schools, not least in supporting the Big Pedal initiative, run by Sustrans and Bike Hub. Frankly, the list goes on – from free in-store maintenance talks to being a women-friendly bike shop, in partnership with the ACT and Cycling Experts."
Despite being recognised as one of the country's best independent bike shops, we won't rest on our laurels. We will be striving to improve every aspect of Rutland Cycling in our stores and online throughout 2013 and beyond. Watch this space!
