The Range: Bombproof

The Cube Hyde bike is packed with features designed to make your day to day riding experience easier than ever. The range consists of three models, the Hyde, Hyde Pro and Hyde Comp models. All models in the range feature a lightweight aluminium frame, rigid fork and smart parts specification keep the weight low, making the Hyde efficient and nippy, much like a road bike.

Considering its sporty looks, the Hyde manages to pack a surprising degree of comfort and can go the distance when it comes to all day riding. All models in the range are able to have pannier racks and mud guards fitted, further adding to the Hyde's versatility. This allows for all year riding, rain or shine, and easy transportation of luggage on a rack. Although it lacks the suspension fork and off-road tyres of a mountain bike, the Hyde is perfectly suited to canals, light singletrack and pathways - perfect for commuting to work.

Ready for the City

The Hyde Pro and Race models come equipped with Shimano's 8spd hub gears and a Gates belt drive, a proved hassle-free shifting option. The Shimano hub gears are reliable, removing the need for a derailleur and hanger all-together. In general, the fewer moving parts on a bike the more reliable it will be. This means less maintenance as well as a sleek, near singlespeed appearance, keeping your bike out of the bike shop and you on the road.

On the Hyde and Hyde Pro models, Schwalbe Big Apple tyres speed along the tarmac nicely, with a low profile tread that reduces rolling resistance for the larger 29� wheels. The Hyde Race receives an upgraded set of Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres, with added puncture protection and lightweight kevlar bead.

The Gates belt drive is a great choice for the Hyde, with the belt being a tough alternative to a traditional chain. With no oil needed the belt does not rust and stays far cleaner than a chain, meaning that your freshly dry cleaned suit stays clean for long. Did we mention this was the perfect commuting bike?
